About Us
Steve and Ashton Byrne are a happily married mountain couple living near Knoxville, TN. In our spare time we enjoy spending time with our new baby in our beautiful mountains. Our favorite activities include mountain biking, hiking, camping and whitewater rafting.
Ashton is originally from Knoxville. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition-Dietetics with honors from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, she has also studied Holistic Nutrition from Clayton College of Natural Health and is pursuing a Master of Science in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine from the University of Bridgeport. She has experience meal planning and cooking for whole foods- plant based, vegan/vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free, low fat, high protein and more. She is also a RYT 200 certified yoga instructor. Ashton's philosophy on food is that it is the foundation of health. At all times we are able to make choices that either fuel health or fuel disease. If we are eating most of our food homemade with whole foods, we are probably doing pretty good!
Steve, originally from Lowell, MA, has over 10 years cooking experience in different environments. Most recently at Whole Foods market where he has experience cooking vegan and vegetarian, paleo, low fat, bakery and more. He also worked for a top restaurant in Chattanooga, TN, Terra Mae, where he expanded his repertoire, and perfected flavor profile combinations and cooking skills. He is an excellent cook, specializing in healthy, comforting, home meals full of quality ingredients.
